Thick Book of Photos Offering "Glimpses of the World's Columbian Expo"

This quite thick small format book is filled with photos from virtually every corner of the WCE. It is one of the better known and most exhaustive collections of photos of all aspects of the WCE.

You might well be familiar with the cover of this book; it was one of the better selling publications during the fair. Literally DOZENS of picture books and pprinted collections of images from the WCE were published. This was one of the best selling guides. It is as thick as a book and provides large enough photos in this small format book to provide a quality glimpse into the sights offered to those who attended the Columbian Expo.

If you already have this in your collection I would assume you do NOT have the original mailing envelope in which it was sent for 5 cents anywhere in the United States. For the many collectors who appreciate and seek out books, tickets and related paper items, this is as advertised, "Gems of the White City." and I would venture a guess that no more than 1 or 2 WCE collectors have the book in the original mailing envelope. And I realize that to those who do not collect such things, you will move on quickly to other WCE collectibles.

I have always been enamored of original packaging, proofs and tests, and boxes that once held such rarities as books or vases or utensils, and so on.
