Rare Opportunity--2 Hagenbeck Tickets in a Single Lot from the Columbian Expo

Both of these have the common torn corners often found on the Hagenbeck tickets. I assume the tickets were torn when used to eliminate the possibility of being used again; then the ticket taker would return the ticket as a souvenir. The ones found without the tear would seem to be those that were never sold and found their way into the stream of tickets collected over the years. Assuming the Hagenbeck tickets were like others, when the fair closed unused tickets were both shredded and some kept as souvenirs that ultimately found their way to collectors' hands over the years.

Remember--this lot consists of BOTH tickets. Even torn tickets generally command a good price (in the $40-$45 range), while unused ones typically sell for $10-$20 more.
