One of Two Gem Eglit 239 Medal in this Columbian Sale

This is a fabulous MS65 example of this medal with a very interesting portrait of Columbus. Following this listing there is another example of an E239, that one in copper.

These medals with Columbus facing left are often ovelooked for no particular reason other than there are so many different medals in the marketplace; it may be that fewer of these were struck than many others from the fair. I do know that I have seen examples of these very infrequently over the years.

This super white metal would make an excellent display along with the copper version.
