Very Rare, Likely Unique, Proof of the Cover of a Columbian Expo Ticket Book

This proof is on extremely thin paper and was likely intended to check positioning and other aspects of printing; the reason such proofs are so seldom found is that once they are approved, they are usually tossed. In modern printing, the proof would be attached to the job envelope that contains all pertinent information that is then filed away should the client ever have questions. I have no idea if printing in the 19th century operated in the same manner; I know of NO Columbian ticket proofs that have ever been found with or attached to other material.

The History Bank has the distinction of having sold several proofs, including the only known example from the Ferris Wheel.

I have marked this ticket down considerable form the ebay listing where it didn't sell at $99. Because of the very thin paper and its fragility, I would not send it without ample packing, thus I wouldn't want to send them in a standard first class envelope just to save $3 in postage.
