Concord & Montreal Railroad Special Train Prices to the World's Columbian Expo

Rare item regarding special rail tickets to the Columbian Expo. This railroad line took advantage of the demand for tickets to the WCE in producing special (and we assum specially priced) tickets good only on the trip to the fair. This is the only railroad document I have seen that addresses the deman dead on. This letter makes it very clear that all station agents in a position to sell tickets to Chicago will receive a batch of the special tickets.

The dedmand was high all over the country for the engraved, color vignette admission tickets that were the official admission to the grounds. Passengers still had to book their own transportation to the fair, as well as lodging, both of which were often booked in advnce through the same agent.

I was very pleased earlier this year to acquire this flyer as it is exactly the ticket information I want to include in my forthcming book. And besides it having editorial value for me, it should have equally strong interest from WCE collectors.
