MARKED DOWN-Byzantine Copper "Cupped" Coin Crusader Era

This dug coin was a Byzantine style that easily identifies it as such. It is "cupped" as made. It is between the size of a quarter and a nickel and more square than round. The portrait on the obverse was a very popular subject for Byzantine coinis--Jesus. This coin, while it may not appear as such, is a high grade among the myriad cupped coins of the era.
