Byzantine Coin of Tiberius, 582AD, Slabbed by NGC

It was a boon to collectors when NGC began slabbing coins other than its original U.S. coins. Of special interest to me was when they began doing world's fair medals and ancients, both of which I regularly sell as most of you are aware.

The ancients was the more recent addition and as they do with all of their slabs, they provide important information. And for only the most advanced collectors is it easy to date/identify ancient coins. I know I have a variety of books about ancients, but that still is a difficult task most of the time matching a legend or style from one of the references. NGC has done a good job for us all in this regard.

This is a nice clean coin and an excellent type coin from the Byzantine era. I am listing another Tiberius rule Byzantine coin immediately after this one, also slabbed.
