Edward I 1272-1307 Hammered Silver Coin (#A)

I have been quite fortunate to acquire multiple coins from Edward I. This is one of the few Edward I coins I have seen with a full face/head discernible. Remembering that this coin was made with very crude methods more than 900 years ago this is excellent. I don't think even the case of an uncirculated coin that someone unfamiliar with the English coinage could identify Edward from the portrait. Still, as created it's in excellent condition.
Edward I was known as Longshanks--a reference to his taller than average stature for the period, thus long "shanks"--or legs!
