Largest (By Far) Meteorite in this Sale--Found in Northwest Africa SEE NOTE@ END

I have listed a small group of quite interesting meteorites and tektites in this sale. They aren't shipwreck treasure but I'd definitely call them "found" treasures. Most meteorites available to the public are quite small. The meteorites on the market noted as NWA indicate they were found in Northwest Africa but not from a named meteor fall. A great many have been found in the region.

This one is about 2 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches and weighs a hefty 164 grams. This size would fit into a person's hand that they could enclose wrapping their fingers around it--about the size of an avocado.

I am happy to provide plastic or lucite stands for the pieces with which they would work in this sale; just ask! I'll make them available at no cost and I have several different style and will provide whatever is available that suits the item.

This is a great looking meteorite with a crust on the outside formed from the extreme heat when it passed through our atmosphere. I have three roughly the same weight and dimensions and should a buyer want 2 or 3, or a 2nd and 3rd buyer want one, the software used for the sale keeps the ite open for purchase until the last one is sold.
