Hammered Silver Coin from Elizabeth I, Larger than All Other Hammered Coins

This coin is from Elizabeth the first and you will find others here from both Elizabeth and Edward the first. This specific coin stands apart from all the rest due to its size; it is about the size of a quarter and thus significantly larger than all of the other English hammered pieces I have listed. I'm afraid I cannot decipher the text on the coin to quote the denomination but it's a very fair guess that if any silver coin is larger than another it also a higher denomination. This is a quite nice coin and from my research for this sale, a larger hammered coin such as this is far scarcer than the smaller pieces.
