CIVIL WAR GREAT CENTRAL SANITARY FAIR COPPER TOKEN STRUCK ONSITE
$52.00
On sale
The Great Central Sanitary Fair was one of the largest of many such fairs staged throughout the North to provide Union troops with much needed items from socks and blankets to ink and paper.
One of the fund raising options for fair visitors were souvenir tokens struck onsite. These copper tokens sold for just 10 cents at the fair; silver ones were also offered in the same design and also struck onsite. The silver tokens cost 50 cents.
We have several coppers aailable but just ONE SILVER left after recent sales.
Please watch the store for other rare (and generally under priced) Sanitary Fair items.
